Cinema Noir

September 13, 2009 marked the official launch of the first annual Canadian Black Film Festival. ‘Cinema Noir’ was held at the Hazleton Lanes in the heart of Yorkville, down town Toronto. ’Cinema Noir’ is an annual event celebrating the many people of African Descent working in the vibrant Canadian Film industry: a place for those working in the industry to mingle, network and connect in style.

‘Cinema Noir’ 2009 sponsored by the Afri-Can Heritage Festival, was a great success with over 600 stars, actors, directors, producers, writers, and movie lovers. We were joined by Cameron Bailey, Trey Anthony, Tanya Lee Williams, Ngozi Paul, Lyriq Bent, and many other local stars.
