The CBFF Film Club aims to promote and celebrate the rich tapestry of black world cinema by bringing select titles from overseas, as well as works from local grown talent to Canadian audiences. The CBFF Film Club is an offshoot of the annual film festival and shares its mandate in helping all of Canada’s diverse communities to celebrate, pay tribute to and openly discuss the many interesting films that do not always get seen in Canadian theatres.

With a particular focus on independent Canadian filmmaking and the artists pushing the industry forward, the Film Club provides a platform for topical, high quality feature films, shorts and documentaries that do not always make it into the mainstream.
